MARIA GIAMMANCO’s practice at The Hecker Law Group focuses on trademarks, copyrights and intellectual property litigation. Her work includes comprehensive trademark prosecution both domestically and internationally, as well as trademark portfolio development and management.

Ms. Giammanco holds a Juris Doctor from the University of San Francisco School of Law and also participated in the study abroad program in Public International Law at England’s Oxford University. She also holds Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of California at Santa Barbara.

Prior to entering law school, Ms. Giammanco served as a Congressional Page for Secretary of Defense Leon Panettta for a period of time during his tenure in the United States Congress. Subsequently she worked in Washington, D.C. at the White House as a summer intern for Secretary Panetta during his tenure as White House Chief of Staff to President William Jefferson Clinton.

Ms. Giamanco is a regular law lecturer at University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) and organizations such as “Ladies Who Launch”. She also has provided pro bono legal services for the Los Angeles Domestic Violence Project, a private, non-profit organization dedicated to the prevention of family violence.
