CHASE COVELLO holds a Master’s of Science in Computer
Science, Programming Languages and Compiler Systems and a Bachelor of
Science degree in Computer Science with a Technical Minor in
Linguistics from the University of California at Los Angeles, and graduated Cum Laude. Mr.
Covello also holds his J.D. from Boston University's School of Law.
Prior to joining the Hecker Law Group, Mr. Covello interned for Warner
Bros. Entertainment where he reviewed data privacy requirements,
software licensing agreements, and on-site contractor agreements for
WB's information systems department. He also assisted with technical
issues.
Mr. Covello also interned with Citicorp’s Development Center where he
built an automated test suite for Citicorp's financial database and
backend software for different platforms including Java, Oracle,
Solaris, and AIX.
Mr. Covello's advanced academic projects in computer science have
included: (1) Java Reflection Library Extensions for Expanders
involving extension to the Java reflection API to support expanders in
a type-safe way to add functionality to existing classes without access
or subclassing to class' source code; (2) Extensions to the Scala
programming language Actors library using the multicast RPC library;
(3) A Multicast RPC Implementation for Java involving the
implementation of four Total Order Broadcast algorithms for
broadcasting remote procedure calls to networked computers; and (4) A
type based-approach to deadlock prevention in Parallel Programming
involving advanced Types and Programming Languages.
Mr. Covello is admitted to practice before the California State Bar.
